So now I am so excited, I revamped my site, add more additional menus and better categories to understand the kind of artworks I do. I have still to do quite a lot of updates, since most menu page has nothing to display yet. In course of this month I shall do all that too. So for today, I post my recent drawing from my strathmore sketchbook...
So, I grabbed my 20 invite cards, small Zentangle Tile sized artist cardstock 3.5 inches, and took out all my set of colorpencils, water-based pens, Derwent Inktense pencils and my favourite water-brushpens that works amazing when I have to work on tangles.
Special Mention here: My daughter created one of the twenty tiles for her favourite brother.
I would not have known myself so well, if my 8 year old daughter would not have all gaga over what I do whole day at home. Yeah, its Zentangle - the littlest tiles lying on my desks, drawers, shelves, kitchen, on the coffee table, everywhere. I draw little by little everywhere I walk around and then once in a week bring all those tiles in one place and try to attach them to the ring binders. 😃 So on Sunday Dec 17, 2017 we, as family, had visited to Winter Carnival Festival 2017, at my daughter's school. The arrangement was done very beautiful. The stage was set up for kids to perform solo and group cultural dance and music performances. On other side, kids and young children participated in the Art and Craft competition, for whom I was invited as judge to choose The Best Three!!! Truly speaking, when I see each kid's drawing, I feel each one deserves to be given an award, for their enthusiasm and eagerness to participate into the competition. But just not by acknowledging them, we are killing their hopes and spirits, and very slowly their spirit to DREAM dies and Fear of Failures takes over.... So to parents (including me) of these kids, we should help our kids to be able to dream, even if they are not able to win the prizes. We should be capable enough to teach them that no one can interfere with their dream!!!
So while the kids were busy drawing and on the other side cultural activities were going on, I got a snippet of short time to tangle my little tile, over my lap. I always try and carry a pen and few tiles just to keep me company. I went home and completed my shading.
Story of a Traveling Tangle Project between a mother and a daughter.... A daughter came running to her busy mother with a beautiful ♥️ cardstock, and says, “Mumma, let us both do travelling tangle tile. I have presented my best here, now you complete the rest.“Saying so, she placed the paper on her Mumma's drawing desk and off she went into another room. ..... As the mother peeped, she was so mesmerized by the hue and colors on the cardstock (approx 8×5.5inch), and stared at HOW IN THE WORLD 🗺 JUST A COMMON PLAIN PAPER GOT LIFE? She knew she was asking a very silly question, that has absolutely nothing to do with the plain gorgeous piece that has come forth, still shyly she asked what brush technique is it? The girl pointed towards a #bijou tile (2×2inch size cardstock)lying there; had same colors and she pulled those colors into the paper!.....
After many hours, enjoying the real beauty of the sheet, the mother got her pen out and tangled......!!! The project was completed. The travelling tangle got completed by two different people on the same desk!
