Post 2 I and my husband have turned into cave people here. Delhi, my city is turning hot with 46° C; fumes from sun has made us keep indoors, and we try our best to sweat the heat (hahaha), by keeping our airconditioners low/off mostly. Yes, we kind of like sweating, because we both are onlook for opportunities to get away with toxins and also we do not want to increase the electricity bill.

My kid is having her summer holidays right now. So I get time to do lots and lots of drawings which was not I had analyzed. She has been so very supportive to me, won't bug me while I am like away, on my workdesk. I am in tears as I share this unconditional support from her. Yes, but I know in her heart she really misses me, and kind of feeling lonely. And so, that's why I decided that, from this week everyday whatsoever I would take some time out exclusively for her. I have two advanced private lessons coming up this week, inspite of being hectic, I just want to commit to her that and let her know that 'mumma is listening'!

Today, after almost 19 hours of working on the computer, with this website, I wanted to relax, so I took out my half done A4 sheet and mixed colors paying all attention to the process of creating that piece. I was enjoying it so much, that I don't even want to wait for anyone's validation about it!

Isn't it fun, when such moments struck in a day??😊

Happy Tangling 💜💜💜

8 tiles out of 9

This month, I have taken up numerous art challenges, that's what I feel. I want to make few handmade gifts and begun to ink them, then came The Inktober Tangles 2017 series of artworks, which will continue all along. this month and are helping me to explore tangles that I haven't much explored in quite a while. Normally I would love taking up challenges, but this time, I am participating in too many challenges and time-bound works is what making it more hard. At home too, I am busy helping my kid prepare for her mid term exams, sort of diwali cleaning and decluttering, and hosting guests; making space for hours to draw is a bit difficult. But then, just as Bijou suggests take it small, take it slow, and just with just one stroke at a time anything is possible. So from today I will draw just a bit I need to for the Inktober Tangles 2017, after all art is fun at work.

So yesterday I completed my eighth of the 9 Tiles, 9 week Challenge. I am posting all 8 tiles together. My daughter's saying that it has come out like Puzzle.... and I quite agree to it.

Color Me Calm

Color Me Calm: Post 01 Few years back, when I went to a stationery store, to purchase board game for my daughter, I saw a huge pile of coloring books for adults. I giggled and shrugged my shoulders, and murmured within "how boring" , and I just walked away. Little I knew that I would love this meditative art form. 😁🤗

Last year, when I started Tangling, as a daily practice, in a whim I ordered this adult coloring book called Color Me Calm. I liked the 100 pages book and planned to practice coloring in it. But I was so in love with monochromatic tangles, that I didn't much use the book.

Two months back, just like that, on one fine day, I took out my coloring book from the storage box, flipping through the pages inspired me and I fetched my 36 inktense pencils and started filling it up. After I finished coloring my first page, I realized how calming and energetic method it was, just like tangling. This will be great addition to my creative zone. I get the opportunity to create my own color palettes and understand and experiment the different mediums. I don't have to fear any error when occurs as I know I can simply jump to other page or just continue. In the end, I find the results gratifying like a child's play.

Here I used both. Faber-Castell Polychromos and Prismacolors. It took me 7 hours to complete this one. Its a new palette to me, and I really liked it.
